Behavioural and ethical standards governing accredited professionals within the Global Coach Verification framework.

This Code of Professional Conduct defines the professional standards expected of all individuals holding active accreditation within the Global Coach Verification Professional Register.

Adherence to this Code is a condition of accreditation. Failure to comply may result in review, suspension, or revocation under governance procedures.

Standards

1. Integrity & Accuracy

Accredited professionals must:

  • Represent qualifications, credentials, and experience accurately
  • Avoid misleading, exaggerated, or unsubstantiated claims
  • Ensure public representations align with documented verification records
  • Disclose material affiliations where relevant

Material misrepresentation constitutes grounds for governance review.

Competence

2. Professional Competence & Scope

Accredited professionals must:

  • Operate within declared areas of competence
  • Clearly define scope of services
  • Avoid providing services beyond reasonable expertise
  • Maintain transparent methodology communication

Accreditation does not replace statutory licensing where required by jurisdiction.

Confidentiality

3. Confidentiality & Data Responsibility

Accredited professionals must:

  • Respect client confidentiality
  • Protect sensitive information
  • Avoid unauthorised disclosure
  • Maintain appropriate data handling standards

Confidentiality obligations extend beyond the duration of engagement.

Boundaries

4. Professional Boundaries & Conflicts of Interest

Accredited professionals must:

  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries
  • Disclose potential conflicts of interest
  • Avoid dual relationships that compromise objectivity
  • Exercise independent professional judgment

Undisclosed conflicts may trigger governance reassessment.

Ethics

When operating in corporate or executive environments, accredited professionals must:

  • Respect procurement and governance protocols
  • Maintain transparent engagement documentation
  • Avoid overstating accreditation scope
  • Represent verification status accurately

Accreditation confirms structured review compliance, not endorsement.

Responsibility

7. Ongoing Responsibility

Accredited professionals must:

  • Notify Global Coach Verification of material changes affecting status
  • Maintain continued alignment with standards
  • Cooperate with governance review if requested
  • Update records when required under periodic review

Accreditation reflects compliance at the time of review and remains subject to oversight.

Procedures

8. Complaints & Review

Alleged breaches of this Code may result in:

  • Formal review
  • Status designation as "Under Review"
  • Temporary suspension
  • Revocation of accreditation

Governance decisions are recorded within the Professional Register.

Authority

9. Enforcement & Authority Scope

Global Coach Verification:

  • Confirms structured review compliance
  • Maintains accreditation records
  • Applies documented governance procedures

It does not:

  • Provide statutory licensing
  • Guarantee commercial outcomes
  • Replace independent due diligence
  • Act as a regulatory authority

All accredited professionals are expected to uphold the standards defined in this Code throughout the duration of active accreditation.

Accreditation status remains subject to governance oversight.
